Get the codeUse one without ammonia, and spray it onto a cloth rather than the glass. Ammonia darkens and spots brass, and cleaner that runs down the glass collects in the frame, where it leaves a mark that takes weeks to blend.
Not exactly. Brass from different makers starts at slightly different colours, and unlacquered pieces drift closer together as they age. Keeping to the same metal is enough for the room to look planned.
Two matching mirrors, one centred over each basin, give each person their own space and leave room for a light between them. One long mirror makes a small bathroom feel wider. Both work, so decide where the lights are going first.
A round mirror softens a room full of straight lines, which is why it suits a rectangular vanity and square tiles. An arched mirror adds height to a low bathroom. A rectangular one is the calm choice over a long double vanity. Pick the shape against the room, then the size against the vanity.

A brass mirror in a hallway or by the front door gets the same patina more slowly, because the air is drier. Over a fireplace, keep an eye on heat, which speeds up darkening along the top edge. A full length mirror is heavy, so it wants fixing to the wall even if it looks like it could lean.
