Everything here comes from one source: we opened the full catalogue of seven small copper and brass workshops and counted what their product listings actually state. Not a survey, not an estimate, not a market forecast. 1,633 products, read on 17 September 2026.
Every figure is a count with its denominator, so it can be checked. The method and the downloadable dataset sit with the September 2026 listings study.

Read across seven independent workshops in September 2026. 1,633 products in total, 1,063 of them inside the categories counted here.
One row per category and fact, with the count, the denominator and the percentage. This is the file to quote from.
Every listing, 1,063 rows, CSV
One row per product. Store, title, URL, price range, category, then a column for each fact checked. 1 means the listing states it, 0 means it does not, a blank means the check does not apply to that category.
What was counted, and where
| Workshop | Products read |
|---|---|
| Zayian | 386 |
| Moroccan Interior | 357 |
| CopperKesh | 328 |
| Kinycraft | 202 |
| Artihand | 144 |
| The House of Brass | 137 |
| Rod & Rails | 79 |
| Total | 1,633 |
Twenty eight product titles appear at more than one of these workshops, which is worth knowing before assuming every shop makes what it sells.
Lighting: the safety information is missing
Three hundred light listings were read, 252 pendants and 48 wall lights. Not one stated a UL or ETL listing, and not one stated an IP rating.
| What the listing states | Pendants (252) | Wall lights (48) |
|---|---|---|
| UL or ETL safety listing | 0 | 0 |
| IP rating | 0 | 0 |
| Damp or wet location rating | not counted | 0 |
| A bulb socket of any kind | 110 (43.7%) | 2 (4.2%) |
| E26 socket, the US fitting | 104 (41.3%) | 1 |
| E27 socket, the European fitting | 106 (42.1%) | 1 |
| US voltage | 97 (38.5%) | 0 |
Copper sinks: gauge, drain and weight
One hundred and thirty four copper sink listings were read, of which 28 are farmhouse or apron front.
| What the listing states | All copper sinks (134) | Farmhouse only (28) |
|---|---|---|
| Gauge or a copper thickness | 15 (11.2%) | 3 (10.7%) |
| Drain opening size | 6 (4.5%) | 0 |
| Warranty length | 4 (3.0%) | 0 |
| Product weight | 0 | 0 |
Every gauge figure in the set was 16 gauge. Not one listing offered 14 gauge, and none gave a thickness in millimetres instead. Of the six listings that state a drain size, two say 3.5 inches, two say 1.5 inches on bathroom vessels, one bar sink says a 2 inch opening, and one includes a 3.5 inch kitchen drain.
Bathtubs: nothing is specified
| What the listing states | Bathtubs (29) |
|---|---|
| Gauge or thickness | 0 |
| Product weight | 0 |
| Water capacity | 0 |
| Drain size | 0 |
| Warranty length | 0 |
| Says “thick” with no number | 3 (10.3%) |
Shower systems: what fits your plumbing
| What the listing states | Shower systems (46) |
|---|---|
| Names the valve type | 17 (37.0%) |
| Claims US compatibility | 14 (30.4%) |
| Flow rate | 5 (10.9%) |
| Thread standard | 4 (8.7%) |
| A US plumbing standard | 0 |
Unlacquered brass: the change is disclosed, the care is not
Four hundred and sixty five listings describe an unlacquered or living brass finish.
| What the listing states | Unlacquered brass (465) |
|---|---|
| Says the finish will darken or patina | 330 (71.0%) |
| Explains how to clean it | 65 (14.0%) |
| Says it can be polished back | 56 (12.0%) |
| Offers a lacquered version as an option | 6 (1.3%) |
Bronze that is actually brass
Thirty products carry the word bronze in the title. Twenty six of them describe brass in the listing text, and none states solid or cast bronze. The two are different alloys at different prices, so a title is not a reliable guide to the metal.
Hooks, racks and rails: load is almost never stated
| Category | Listings | State a load limit |
|---|---|---|
| Bath accessories, including hooks | 143 | 2 (1.4%) |
| Shelves, brackets and rails | 71 | 0 |
| Pot racks and rails | 22 | 2 (9.1%) |
| Window and curtain rods | 8 | 0 |
No bath accessory listing states a mounting height, and no curtain rod listing states a rod diameter.
How these numbers were produced
The full catalogue of each workshop was downloaded on 17 September 2026 and classified by rule rather than by hand. A listing counts as stating a detail only when its text gives a number with the right unit beside it. “Heavy duty copper” with no number is not a gauge. A shipping weight is not a product weight. Every counted match is stored with the sentence around it, so any figure can be traced back to the listing it came from.
Ten findings, written so they can be quoted whole
Each of these carries its own number, denominator, subject and date, so it stands up on its own without the paragraph around it.

The method and the downloadable dataset are on the study page. If you need a figure cut a different way, by category or by workshop, write to hello@justgetdeal.com and we will send the rows rather than a summary.
We plan to repeat the read so the figures can be compared year on year. The next one covers Black Friday, when we test which discounts actually appear at these workshops rather than which are advertised.
