Some of these links pay us. Here is exactly how

When you follow a link from this site to a store and buy something, that store sometimes pays us a share of the sale. Your price does not change, and neither does anything you see on this site.

  • Why we say all this

How the money works

A link out to a store can carry a tag that tells the store, or the network sitting between us, that you arrived from here. If a purchase follows within whatever window that store allows, we are paid a percentage of it. That is the whole arrangement.

The payment comes out of the store's own margin on a sale it already made. Nothing is added to your basket, and the code you used takes the same amount off whether the link was tagged or not.

What it costs you

Nothing. The price on the store's site is the same price you would see arriving there any other way, and a discount code works the same for you as for anybody else.

If you would rather not use a tagged link, type the store's address into your browser yourself. The codes on this site work regardless of how you got there, and nobody will know the difference.

What money cannot buy here

This is the part that matters, because it is where most coupon sites quietly bend.

  • Position. A commission does not move a store or a code higher up any page. Ordering follows how recently a code was checked and how well it has been working.
  • The verified mark. That mark means somebody put the code into a real basket and watched the total move. It cannot be bought, and no store has ever been offered it.
  • Staying up. A code that stops working comes down the day we see it fail, and a paying store's dead code comes down exactly as fast as anybody else's.
  • Silence. If a store starts shipping late or ignoring its buyers, that gets said on the store page, or the store gets removed.

The method behind all of that is written out on how we verify, including what stops a code going up at all.

Which links pay

Not all of them. Some workshops have an affiliate programme, some sell through a marketplace that runs one, and some have nothing of the kind, in which case the link earns us nothing at all and the listing is there because it is worth listing.

The programme is Shopify Collabs. A store that sells on Shopify can give a creator a tracked link and a discount code. When somebody follows one of those links, or uses one of those codes, and then buys, the store pays us a share of that sale.

A purchase through our links or codes at a store that works with us through Shopify Collabs can earn us a commission. At a store with no programme, the link earns us nothing.

Codes are checked either way

Every code here goes through the same test: a real item in a real basket, the code entered at checkout, the total watched rather than the message. A store that pays us gets no shortcut through that, and a store that pays us nothing gets the same daily recheck.

If a code fails for you, tell us. Reports are read the same day, whoever the store is.

Paid placement

There is none. No store has paid to appear on this site, to be featured on the homepage, or to be described in particular words. If that ever changes, the placement will be labelled as paid on the listing itself, not only mentioned on this page.

Why we say all this

Partly because the law requires it. Advertising rules in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union all say a site earning commission has to disclose it clearly, near the links, in words a reader understands.

Mostly because the site is worth nothing without it. The only thing being sold here is the claim that a code works, and a reader who suspects the ordering was bought has no reason to believe the rest. Better to explain the money on its own page and let people judge.

Think a listing looks bought?

Say so. Point at the store and the page, and you will get a straight answer about what, if anything, that link earns.
